The role you will play:

As a Senior Desktop Support Analyst you will ensure a consistent high level of service to our internal customers providing client computing and telecommunications services to all divisions across the Village Roadshow group of companies.


Directly reporting to the Team Leader Desktop Support you will get exposure to and deliver:

  • 2nd level desktop support in line with our processes
  • Delivery of customer-orientated services with high level of communication proficiency
  • Provide application support and problem resolution using diagnostic tools
  • Creating & updating current processes, procedures & knowledge articles
  • Project planning, delivery and completion
  • Escalation for service requests, incidents and critical incidents - liaising with multiple internal and external customers


You will act as an interface between vendors and internal teams to provide coordination of all relevant teams in aiding incident resolution and ensure continuity of service; including overflow for Helpdesk phone support queue; support & mentoring to Desktop Support Staff; managing contractors & other duties as required.


Experience Required:

  • Previous experience leading or managing a small team
  • Experience providing desktop support in a large commercial environment
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to communicate to a diverse audience
  • Effective time management skills and attention to detail
  • Customer service experience with a strong focus on excellent service delivery; Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Strong, independent problem solving methodology including root cause analysis
  • Required Experience with:
      • Windows 7 MOE
      • Microsoft Active Directory
      • SCCM
      • Exchange 2010 – troubleshoot 1st/2nd level user faults
      • Retail Environment - POS, EFTPOS and peripheral environments
      • SAP Level 1 Support
