The Intencity Story

Intencity opened its first Family Entertainment Centre (FEC) in 1995 and was wholly acquired by Village Roadshow Limited in 1999.  We operate closely with Village Cinemas and Warner Village Theme Parks.

Intencity FEC’s are found in 6 locations along the East Coast of Australia as well as Adelaide and Tasmania. We have a vast array of classic and contemporary video games as well as ticket and prize redemption games that appeal to children, teenagers and adults alike.


Position Objective

The Assistant Location Manager is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the operations at their dedicated location comply with divisional financial, operational and policy expectations.

Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the day to day performance of the location under the guidance of the Location Manager (LM);
  • Managing, coaching and developing staff performance in collaboration with the LM;
  • Identifying adverse effects on the location and its performance (e.g. non controllable expenses external/competitive influences etc) and providing recommendations;
  • Establishing credibility and building relationships within and between Intencity, Cinema and support departments, and,
  • Performing other duties as specified by the Location Manager.


The successful applicant also needs to possess the following:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service;
  • Exceptional cash handling skills;
  • An ability to work alone and as part of a team,
  • An ability to effectively delegate and take a hands on approach to their work;
  • A passion for marketing and showmanship;
  • Energy, enthusiasm and an ability to manage a team and location effectively;
  • Outstanding organisational skills, and,
  • Flexibility in relation to working a flexible and rotational roster.
