Are you ready to start your career with Village Cinemas? We are looking to recruit some brand-new faces with a moon bound mindset to join our senior leadership team at our Doncaster location.   

The Role
The Retail Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the retail portfolio, including, maximising concessions revenue across all concepts at site by fostering a sales culture, ensuring all necessary qualifications are up to date, food safety controls are in place, whilst minimising wastage and miscellaneous variances.  As a Retail Manager, you will report to the Site Manager and assist in ensuring that the site is fully compliant with Company requirements, key performance indicators are met, and exceptional customer service standards are executed. This role will require flexibility to work at various locations depending on the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of maintaining the retail portfolio including stock control, product placement and team coaching to drive strike rate, incentives and COGS
  • Assisting the Site and Assistant Site Manager in proactively engaging guests ensuring all team members are trained in the VCA Service Flow model
  • Supporting the Site and Assistant Site Manager in actioning guest enquiries including complaints and developing customer service improvement programs
  • Motivating, training and encouraging a customer service culture within the site
  • Supporting the achievement of financial accountabilities
  • Taking ownership in achieving all key accountabilities within your allocated portfolio
  • Any Ad-hoc projects/ tasks as directed by your fellow senior leadership team

What you can bring to the role:

  • Previous experience and knowledge regarding the retail portfolio would be advantageous
  • Previous experience at a management or supervisory level
  • A love and passion for the Cinema industry
  • Outstanding customer services skills with the ability to solve complex problems  
  • A positive attitude and the willing to motive and inspire your team
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work autonomously, while also displaying strong collaborative and teamwork skills
  • Your ability to walk a mile and support the development of all team members
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet required deadlines
