Village Cinemas is looking for an experienced manager to join the leadership team at their Shepparton location. You will bring a bundle of fresh ideas to this Full Time (rostered) position, as you learn all about the world of cinema exhibition.

The Role:

You will jump into the deep end, training in Melbourne for (2 or 3 weeks), at some of our newest and/or busiest locations. That training, and your experience in a previous management role, will allow you to energise and invigorate the existing management team, and to both lead and inspire our newest recruits. This role will see you providing the highest quality customer service all our guests, whilst displaying the Village Cinema values, at all times.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring correct completion of all appropriate cash handling documentation and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including new COVID safe measures;
  • Identifying risks and assisting in reducing loss of financial resources;
  • Achievement of financial targets on a shift to shift basis;
  • Providing direction to other employees with regards to their performance and providing leadership and guidance to all team members whilst on shift;
  • Assisting with the management of area-specific labour costs;
  • Assisting with the opening and closing procedures of the cinema.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience mentoring and guiding colleagues;
  • A passion for Cinema Exhibition;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to solve complex problems;
  • Ability to work autonomously and show initiative, as well as work within a team.
  • All applicants will need to be aged 18 years or over for liquor licensing purposes;
  • You will need to be ready, willing and able to work a flexible and rotational roster;
