The Opportunity
Ready to make waves in your career? We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and professional Events Banquet Team Leader who’s excited to step up and help grow our guests’ experience while working alongside our expanding Events Department at Sea World!
In this role, you’ll lead the charge in bringing incredible events to life: delivering guest service to the highest possible standard while overseeing event operations from start to finish. You’ll ensure every detail is perfectly executed and event products are delivered in line with event order specifications, creating unforgettable moments for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Make every event a splash hit! You’ll be:
• Working effectively within a team environment to provide excellent customer service.
• Manage the shift including responsibility for task allocation and supervision of staff.
• Demonstrating effective teamwork qualities with an understanding of legislative health and safety
• Briefing & motivating the team while displaying a strong work ethic, ensuring the quality of the event is always maintained.
• Taking responsibility for the setup & pack down of the event.
• Engaging with Supervisors to develop and improve your area of responsibility.
• Conducting training and assessing the competency of team members to assist in team development & mentoring.
• Maintaining and ensuring transparent communication with the client when required.
What We’re Looking For
Energy, leadership and a passion for events. You’ll bring:
• RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) is essential (valid in Queensland).
• Bar operation knowledge is a requirement.
• An understanding of banquet table etiquette is a requirement.
• Fine dining & waiting experience is an advantage.
• Event experience and a keen eye for presentation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) skills.
• Have a positive attitude towards improving guest’s experience.
• Forklift, RMLV and Manual driver's license is an advantage.
