The opportunity:
The Show Control Technician role is responsible for the operation and programming of all technical Show Control equipment. They’re also responsible for the preventive maintenance program.
Your day to day:
• Operation of Show Control Consoles for the execution of shows
• Daily checks and maintenance of technical equipment.
• Re-setting props and special effects, cueing cast and acting as safety assistant observers for performers who execute safety/stunt coordinated actions.
• Execute shows and or performances as directed by Village Roadshow Theme Parks management and ensure the standard set by Village Roadshow Theme Parks management is maintained.
• Ensure equipment is used to the highest safety levels and all pre show and post show checks are completed.
• Performing and supervision of ongoing R&M maintenance of all technical show equipment and systems.
• Carry out programming of Show Control equipment to the specification of the Technical Supervisor.
• Be fully conversant in the use of the two-way radios and show communication systems including correct on air etiquette.
What you’ll bring:
• Drivers license is essential
• Experience programming Grand MA2 lighting console in a live performance environment.
• Experience in programming Media Servers and Digital projection equipment.
• Skills in fault finding, control system development and system integration.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Superior supervision and co-ordination skills.
• Superior communication skills.
• Elevated Work Platform (boom over 11m) license Desirable.
