Village Roadshow began from humble beginnings in Melbourne in 1954, when Roc Kirby opened a drive-in cinema. What started as a single screen under the stars has grown into a powerhouse of entertainment, creating unforgettable experiences for millions across Australia and beyond.
Today, our world spans cinema exhibition, film distribution, theme parks, and sports entertainment, all driven by one mission: to bring joy, excitement, and connection to every guest, every time.

I started my Certificate III in Wildlife in 2025 as an intern at Paradise Country. I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn from some great keepers. Since then, I’ve worked my way into my first role in wildlife care, which I’m really proud of. Now I get to work my dream job every day, alongside a supportive team, doing what I genuinely love and that’s something I’ll never take for granted.

Rides Mechanical Tradesperson | Movie World
I have worked with VRTP for 13 years, commencing with the grounds department before being offered a mature aged apprenticeship within the Technical Services ride maintenance team. I have found VRTP to be a brilliant employer that has prioritised safety and a positive work culture, providing support for team members within all departments, on all levels. I recommend VRTP as a positive place to work where opportunities are provided and supported, and team members are given the resources to progress and succeed in all areas. In recognition of my journey and contribution, I was proud to be named 2024 Team Member of the Year for Movie World.

I began my journey with VRTP in 2010 as a School-based Trainee and have progressed through the Attractions Department. Today, I'm proud to serve as the Group Attractions Training Coordinator for Movie World and Sea World. VRTP has played a huge part in shaping both my professional and personal growth. The constant development opportunities and the chance to make a real impact across our teams have made my career incredibly rewarding. I'm proud of how far I've come and grateful for the opportunities that have supported my journey.

Lead Performer | Australian Outback Spectacular
I commenced with VRTP in 2023 as a Stockperson at Australian Outback Spectacular. During my time there, I progressed from an entry-level performance role to performing both female lead roles in the production, and becoming a Stablehand, which allowed me to share my passion for horses and performance throughout the day, both on stage and behind the scenes. I have since expanded my experience across the parks, working at Paradise Country as a Stockperson and at Warner Bros. Movie World as an Education Officer. What I value most about working with VRTP is the culture of continuous improvement. The environment consistently encourages growth, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences, while providing genuine opportunities to progress and diversify within the organisation.

Lifeguard | Wet’n’Wild
I started as a Lifeguard at Wet’n’Wild in 2019 and have since had the opportunity to progress through a range of roles, including Slides Inspector, Aquatic Skills Coach, FlowRider Instructor and Area Coordinator. I’m now a senior in these positions and also train new Slides Inspectors, Area Coordinators and Aquatic Skills Coaches.
My favourite part about working here is the variety, every day brings a different role, different slides to work on, and the chance to meet new people. I’ve also had the opportunity to meet hundreds of new lifeguards and make lifelong friendships with energetic, outgoing people who share the same passion for the job.

I’ve been part of the Sea World team for 12 years and, during that time, have worn many different hats within the Operations Department, from lifeguarding and cleaning to operating rides.
I love that every day is different and brings new challenges. I also get to work alongside a wonderful team who continually adapt to whatever comes their way. One of my favourite parts of the role is being able to walk through the park, feel the salt air, and see our incredible marine animals up close.

I started as a frontline team member in 2004 and am now the National Technical Manager. With the support of my team, I’m responsible for ensuring movies play seamlessly every day across our entire cinema network.
While I’ve held roles in Sustainability and Safety, I’m a technologist at heart and always find myself drawn back to the IT and projection infrastructure that delivers world‑class movie magic. I’ve been part of the Sea World Resort team for 6.5 years, growing from a part-time Guest Service Agent to a full-time Duty Manager, and I’m so proud of the journey along the way.
