About the role:
Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented production accounting professional with a passion for working within the entertainment industry? Do you excel at managing financial aspects of creative projects and ensuring regulatory compliance? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Production Accountant.
As a Production Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of our TV & film projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient financial operations.
This role is open to both Full-Time and Part-Time applicants.
This role will see you:
- Monitoring and allocating costs for development projects, ensuring accurate reporting and funding source management
- Timely payment management for script fees, writers' fees, and related expenses, along with payment record maintenance
- Facilitating new production setup, including company details and bank account setup, while coordinating administrative needs
- Preparing and submitting funding applications to Screen Australia and other government bodies, ensuring compliance with guidelines
- Assisting in managing producer offset funding processes, documentation, and compliance
- Ensuring regulatory compliance throughout production, collaborating with the production team
- Handling production cost monitoring, payment approval, and adherence to budgetary guidelines
About you:

If you have some experience working within TV Production in Australia and are aware of post-production processes, this would be a plus!
The key skills and competencies we are seeking in the successful candidate include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is desirable
- Strong understanding of production accounting principles and practices
- Experience in the film or entertainment industry, with knowledge of relevant regulations and funding processes
- Proficiency in financial software and tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-orientated and organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with government funding application processes is a plus
