About the role:
As the Sustainability and Risk Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Head of ESG and Group Risk to drive meaningful initiatives across the business. This dynamic position involves gathering, monitoring, and analysing critical data, then translating insights into actionable reports that inform decision-making. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to implement recommendations and lead projects that strengthen our approach to Risk and ESG.
 
This role will see you:
Risk
- Identify, monitor and report on key business risks across the Group, including maintenance of the Group Risk Register, Group Risk Framework and other associated documentation as required.
- Monitor regulatory and risk environment to identify emerging risks and related trends
- Work collaboratively with health and safety teams across divisions to ensure cohesive risk management across the group.
- Coordinate bi-annual Board Risk Committees and prepare Board Risk Reporting
- Provide support and assistance for group wide Sustainability reporting in line with regulatory frameworks and other internal and external communications as required
Sustainability
- Facilitate bi-annual ESG data collection, including working with stakeholders to refine metrics that are fit-for-purpose and support ESG
- Assist in the group wide emissions measurements process
- Assist in the annual modern slavery statement and group DEI initiatives
- Provide support and assistance for group wide Sustainability reporting in line with regulatory frameworks and other internal and external communications as required
- Support maintaining sustainability related policies, procedures and frameworks and providing support in creating group wide sustainability reporting and updates senior leadership
About you:
The key skills and competencies we are seeking in the successful candidate include: 
- Strong Analytical skills and commercial acumen – You will be across a broad range of risk and issues across the group, applying risk frameworks and you’ll need to synthesise this information to the key risks to report to senior leadership.
- Problem solving and strategic thinking – No two risks are the same.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – You’ll need to be able to write a clear, concise and actionable board paper.
- A collaborative and stakeholder focused professional.
- A background in Finance, Risk and/or sustainability is ideal, but not essential.
