Are you a commercially astute analyst who thrives on turning data into insight, driving financial clarity, and partnering with leaders to optimise performance? Village Entertainment is seeking a Business Analyst to deliver meaningful management information and support commercial decision-making across the organisation.

About the Role
The Business Analyst is responsible for providing meaningful management information driven by data analysis and insight, while acting as a finance business partner to the broader business.

  • Data Analysis: Analyse financial and non-financial data to provide meaningful insights and greater visibility across the business. Support leaders in making informed, commercially sound decisions.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with head office teams and cinema sites to add value and meet stakeholder requirements. Coordinate and drive process improvement initiatives that deliver measurable business impact 
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Be a key team member in the preparation of annual consolidated budgets and regular business forecasts to ensure alignment with divisional strategy and performance expectations.
  • Reporting & Performance Optimisation: Prepare accurate and meaningful performance reports for business unit leaders. Partner with managers to implement actions that optimise overall financial performance. Identify cost savings opportunities, analyse business risks and opportunities, and support informed decision-making.
  • Financial Capability & Commercial Insight: Act as a trusted advisor to business unit managers, strengthening financial acumen and embedding commercial discipline across the Division 

 

About You
We’re looking for a commercially minded professional who brings:

  • CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) with relevant commercial experience
  • 3–5 years experience in a Finance, Business Strategy or Commercial role 
  • A strong track record in process improvement and automation.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel with advanced financial/commercial modelling skills
  • Exceptional analytical capability and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High levels of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
