The opportunity:
Roster includes 4 x 9.5-hour shifts per week (2030pm-0600am however, shift times may flex due to business requirements).
The afterhours Security Senior is responsible for coordinating afterhours security operations. This includes but is not limited to; attending to and coordinating security incidents and escalations, overseeing and supporting the afterhours security team, liaising with and providing access to contractors and suppliers, providing supplementary support to Wet n Wild, Australian Outback Spectacular, Paradise Country, Village Roadshow Studios, and Top Golf if required. Plus, completing relevant administrative tasks. The successful applicant will follow Village Roadshow Theme Park’s security guidelines and procedures relevant to the position, including adhering to the Village Roadshow Theme Park’s Code of Conduct whilst on duty or on Village Roadshow Theme Park’s premises.
Your day to day:
In addition to the above duties outlined;
• Work closely with the Security Coordinators and Security Seniors to provide input for operational procedures, training and assessment material relevant to Security processes
• Assist in annual team member appraisals in conjunction with Security Coordinators
• Work with the Security Coordinators, Security Seniors and Workforce planning to ensure roster requirements are met and implement conscious use of resources and skill levels
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure adequate staffing levels are supplied for special events
• Establish and maintain positive and efficient working relationships amongst all Security team members whilst also fostering positive inter-departmental relationships with relevant departments
• Maintain clear and concise communication during incident response and ensure duties are clearly delegated to the afterhours Security team
• Conduct post-incident debriefs with relevant team members after an incident
• Report all incidents within a timely manner to relevant stake holders, ensuring the correct documentation is completed by relevant parties and distributed
• Assist with the development of all team members within the operations division through mentoring and coaching
What you'll bring:
• Previous leadership experience essential
• Must hold any security licenses as deemed relevant by VRTP. This can include, but not limited to:
o Provide First Aid
o Security Officer – Unarmed, Crowd Controller, Cash in transit & Monitoring
• Demonstrated industry knowledge within Security operations
• A focus on Health and Safety, enjoying technical challenges
• A proven ability to lead and develop team members
• A professional attitude and display a clear communication style while consistently leading by example
• Exceptional organisational skills, coupled with good administrative skills
• The ability to use your initiative to solve problems quickly and efficiently
