The opportunity:
Provide a positive learning experience for students and park guests by facilitating educational programs, presentations, initiatives, and guest interactions throughout the park and undertake the associated administrative tasks
Your day to day:
• Facilitate educational programs for all visiting students and provide park guests with an educational learning experience while interacting with the animals on display at Sea World
• Perform educational/host roles in Animal Adventure programs such as Glass Bottom Boat tours, Polar Bear tours and Ray Reef feeds.
• Deliver engaging in-park presentations at our animal exhibits to provide information to guests on the biology, welfare and conservation of a variety of species.
• Assist in the implementation and updating of educational programs delivered in the park
• Respond to communication from students and members of the public on issues of relevance to the marine environment and Sea World
• Guide snorkelling programs for park guests to provide the highest level of safety for the guests and the animals
What you’ll bring:
• Teaching qualification is preferred
• Recreational ship masters licence essential
• Knowledge of the marine environment and conservation issues within the marine environment is preferred
• Public speaking experience is essential
