About the Role

As the HR Specialist, you will ensure that leaders are equipped to manage their teams effectively while maintaining compliance with legal and operational requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Employee and Industrial Relations – Advise on complex workplace issues, including investigations, mediation, and resolution of disputes. Provide guidance on disciplinary processes and ensure compliance with Fair Work obligations, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Leadership Support & Capability Building – Coach and support managers in handling employee relations, workplace challenges, and performance management with confidence. Develop tools and frameworks to enable leaders to manage workforce issues independently.
  • Data-Driven HR Strategy – Analyse trends in workplace issues, employee performance, and leadership capability to identify opportunities for improvement. Create reports and dashboards that track leader effectiveness and workforce trends.
  • HR Compliance & Training – Develop and oversee Fair Work-related training programs for leaders. Conduct regular audits of HR practices to maintain compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Policy & Process Improvement – Lead the development and refinement of HR policies, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational needs.
  • Collaboration with Payroll & Operations – Work closely with Payroll and Operations to ensure compliance in employment contracts, payroll processes, and site transfers.

About You

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR professional who can provide expert guidance while ensuring HR processes drive business success. You’ll bring:

  • Extensive experience in leading HR initiatives, with a strong background in employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
  • A deep understanding of Fair Work obligations, Modern Awards, and Enterprise Agreements, with experience in managing workplace investigations and disputes.
  • Proven ability to coach and support leaders, equipping them with the skills to handle people management challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using workforce data to inform HR decisions and drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, high integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality.
