The opportunity:
Are you a recent high school graduate looking to kick-start your career in the Engineering sector? We have the role for you! Sea World is seeking two Apprentice Mechanical Fitters who will participate in all on & off the job training to develop skills and perform duties associated with department requirements. This will be all whilst ensuring the successful completion of the assigned vocational training plan.

Your day to day:
•   Assist with pre park opening checks of attraction equipment in accordance with procedures and digital checklists as required
•   Assist Tradesperson(s) with various attraction rebuilds and repairs
•   Assist Tradesperson(s) with inspection/repair on various plant and equipment
•   Pick parts for attraction rebuilds and shutdowns using an electronic inventory management system
•   Follow workshop procedures and maintain workplace in a clean and organized manner to ensure a safe working environment
•   Successfully complete all internal and external learning modules within the required timeframe.
•   Report any issues that may affect Engineering Workshop operations immediately to the Engineering Leading Hand or Supervisor
•   Work effectively within a team environment to provide excellent guest service and to promote a positive working environment

What you’ll bring:
•   Enthusiastic attitude for the mechanical trade and theme park industry
•   Ability to follow directions & communicate effectively
•   Proven mechanical aptitude
•   Current Manual Driver’s license an advantage
•   Must be able to work at heights
•   Must be willing to obtain high risk work license including Forklift & EWP
