The opportunity:
We are currently on the lookout for a passionate and driven Steward Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage department.
The Steward Supervisor is responsible for managing, coordinating and leading the steward team.
Your day to day:
• Monitor and motivate team members to achieve a high standard of H&S in the kitchen environment
• Ensure all systems, polices, procedures and standards are implemented and maintained
• Ensure all new stewards have completed relevant training
• Manage and co-ordinate the stewards, where responsibilities include, but are not limited to resource planning, training, mentoring, recruitment, performance management and conducting performance reviews
• Ensure all team members have a high level of product knowledge of chemicals
• Ensure that all cleaning duties required to maintain a hygienic kitchen work area are to a high level
• Apply and monitor food safety procedures
What you’ll bring:
• Relevant industry experience within a large multi-outlet venue
• Associated industry qualification, e.g. Food Safety Certification, is highly regarded
• Knowledge of HAACP principles and chemical safety
• Effective communication skills, delegation & guidance
• Self organization, problem solving and time management skills
• General computer knowledge
• Manual Driver’s license is essential
• Forklift license is desirable
• Flexibility with working hours
