The Opportunity

The Data Engineer / Data Scientist will lead the development, ownership, and ongoing support of Customer Data Platform (CDP) within the Microsoft Fabric environment. This role is integral to our on-site teams and requires daily, in-person collaboration across technology and operational functions. As such, the position is based full time at our Warner Bros. Movie World office, five days per week and does not offer remote or hybrid working arrangements.
As a key enabler in VRTP’s data-driven transformation, the role will design and optimize data pipelines, develop predictive models, and ensure data quality and governance. Empowering the business to enhance guest experience, personalize marketing efforts, and drive commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Here’s how you’ll make an impact. You’ll be:
• Lead the design, build, and maintenance of the VRTP Customer Data Platform using Microsoft Fabric, integrating data from systems such as Ticketing, POS, PMS, CRM.
• Manage the ingestion, transformation, and harmonization of guest and transactional data to create a single, trusted view of the customer.
• Establish and maintain robust data models, dataflows, and semantic layers within Fabric.
• Ensure the CDP is scalable, secure, and governed in line with organizational data standards and privacy regulations.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across the customer data platform
• Partner with key stakeholders to uncover business challenges and enable data-driven decision-making.
What We’re Looking For
The toolkit you’ll bring to transform data into action:
• Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ combined experience in data engineering and data science roles.
• Microsoft Certified: Data Engineer Associate or Data Scientist Associate credentials.
• Expertise in the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem — including Synapse, Data Factory, OneLake, Power BI, SQL Server and related Azure components.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modelling techniques.
• Experience building or managing Customer Data Platforms
• Knowledge of data integration
• Practical experience with machine learning frameworks
• Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security principles in a consumer data environment.
