The Opportunity
Step into the spotlight as our AV Electrical Leading Hand and play a key role in delivering the magic behind the scenes at Sea World.
In this hands-on leadership position, you’ll guide a talented team of AV Electrical technicians to keep our rides, attractions, and entertainment systems running smoothly every day. From supervising daily operations to coordinating repairs and technical support, you’ll help deliver safe, seamless, and spectacular experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
Here’s how you’ll help keep the fun running. You’ll be:
• Managing stock levels
• Ensuring attractions are repaired in required time
• Co-ordinating services and repairs/maintenance on equipment
• Programming and diagnostics skills using Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
• Installing and programming variable speed drives
• General electrical maintenance work
• Installation, testing and commissioning control electronics on complex equipment
• Industrial network configuration and serial communications
What We’re Looking For
If you’re ready to lead with energy, expertise, and a passion for theme park magic, this is your moment to shine! You’ll bring:
• A current (QLD) full electrical license
• Manual Driver’s License
• Elevated Work Platform (EWP) License an advantage.
• Forklift License an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Mobaro highly desirable.
• Ability to work autonomously and a reasonable level of fitness to enable the climbing of ladders and stairs
• Interpretation of technical drawings with the ability to read system & circuit diagrams
• A high awareness of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
• Supervisory and job programming skills
• Excellent understanding of AS / NZS 3000:2008
• Flexible to work nights and weekends if required to complete project deadlines
