Start your culinary career at Australia’s only Theme Park Resort! As an Apprentice Chef at Sea World Resort, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment while working alongside experienced, internationally trained chefs.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn on the job, build strong foundational skills, and develop your passion for food — all while completing formal off-site training as part of your apprenticeship.
What you’ll be doing:
• Assist with the preparation and presentation of high-quality food across a variety of outlets, including à la carte, hot and cold larder sections
• Support the delivery of buffet services, functions and special events, including accommodating specific guest dietary requests
• Learn and follow all recipes, food preparation techniques and service standards as directed by Senior Chefs
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in line with workplace and HACCP procedures
• Contribute positively to a professional kitchen environment by working collaboratively with the culinary team
• Attend and actively participate in all scheduled off-site training and development sessions
What we’re looking for:
• A genuine passion for food and a strong desire to build a career in the culinary industry
• A positive attitude with dedication, reliability and a willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Completion of a pre-vocational hospitality or cookery course and/or previous experience in a kitchen environment (desirable)
• Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation procedures
