The Opportunity
Join the team behind Sea World's iconic rides and attractions. This hands-on leadership opportunity offers the chance to combine mechanical trade expertise with team coordination while contributing to major shutdowns, refurbishment works, and continuous asset improvements.

As a Rides Mechanical Leading Hand, you'll work closely with the Maintenance leadership team to coordinate daily activities, support team performance, and provide technical expertise across rides, attractions, plant, and equipment. You'll play an important role in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance outcomes that keep the park operating at its best.

Key Responsibilities
Behind every safe and reliable ride is a team keeping everything on track. You’ll be:
• Ensuring shutdowns tasks are completed on schedule and department is running to maximize efficiency
• Plan and Lead ride shutdown maintenance
• Organize and delegate tasks to shutdown work force
• Oversee and ensure quality of shutdown works
• Organizing annual inspections, maintenance and coordinating repairs
• Actively looking for ways to improve current processes and procedures
• Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe manner
• Overseeing minimum stock levels for rides, attractions and equipment
• Assist and participate with combined departmental ride evacuation training.

What We’re Looking For
A hands-on, motivated team member who enjoys solving problems and keeping things running safely and efficiently. You’ll bring:
• Cert III Mechanical Trades certification
• Previous experience in the supervision of staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills
• Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• Strong safety focus and sound understanding of OH&S requirements
• Strong focus on Quality Control
• Demonstrated high level of initiative, self-motivation and have the ability to work under minimal supervision
• EWP and forklift licenses would be beneficial
• Knowledge of SAP and Mobaro is highly desirable
• Able to climb ladders and stairs and be comfortable working at heights
• Available Mon-Thurs 500-1500
