The Opportunity

You’ll be guiding guests through unforgettable encounters, delivering lively presentations, and helping students discover the wonders of the underwater world. If you love teaching, talking, and getting people excited about marine life, this role is made for you.

Key Responsibilities
This is a role with plenty of splashes and excitement. You’ll be:
• Bringing our Animal Adventure programs to life as an enthusiastic host across experiences like Glass Bottom Boat tours, Polar Bear tours, and Ray Reef feeds
• Delivering lively, informative presentations at our animal exhibits, sharing stories about biology, welfare, and conservation that captivate guests of all ages
• Facilitating educational programs for visiting students and creating memorable learning moments for all park guests
• Helping shape and refresh our educational content to ensure everything we deliver is accurate, engaging, and up to date
• Responding to questions from students and the public about marine conservation and Sea World’s role in protecting our oceans
• Guiding safe, enjoyable snorkeling programs while ensuring the wellbeing of both guests and marine animals

Candidates who progress through the first and second round interviews will be required to a Psychometric Assessment (DISC). These assessments are conducted at VRTP’s expense and form part of the overall recruitment process. What We’re Looking For
Bring your enthusiasm, your ocean loving spirit, and your confidence in front of a crowd. You’ll bring:
• Paid Blue Card - essential* (Please be advised that the cost of a Blue Card is currently $108.30)
• First Aid, CPR and Advanced Resuscitation certifications - essential
• A Queensland open C class driver’s license - essential
• Recreational boat license - essential
• A teaching qualification - preferred
• Public speaking experience and a natural ability to engage audiences
• Knowledge of marine environments and conservation issues
• A friendly, confident communicator who thrives in an educational, guest focused setting
