The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen to strengthen technical design capability within the project team.

Strong, proactive design support is essential to driving our projects forward, and to enhance this capability we are seeking a Project Design Technician who will work closely with the Projects team and reporting to its management across all aspects of design, documentation and site coordination.

In this role, you will contribute to concept design, construction documentation, 3D modelling and consultant coordination, ensuring project information is accurate, well managed and ready for delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Bring your technical skills and design expertise to a range of tasks. You’ll be:
• Providing CAD drafting and design coordination for concept and construction documentation on capital works projects.
• Supporting the Projects team with design development, documentation and site related coordination across all project stages.
• Reviewing construction and ride design information and communicate updates within the project team.
• Assisting in supervising and coordinating external design consultants when required.
• Producing 3D design renderings and supporting conceptual and thematic design development.
• Identifying potential design or documentation issues, proposing solutions and communicating them promptly.
• Contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

What We’re Looking For
You will bring the knowledge and practical experience that support high quality project outcomes, including:
• Strong CAD capability, including proficiency in ArchiCAD, sketch up and other related design software (drafting, BIM principles, file management).
• Proficient understanding of detailed Digital Design co-ordination and file management.
• Theme parks experience (beneficial).
• Demonstrated design experience within the construction industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with stakeholders across the business.
• Strong time management, analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
• Proactive, well organized and able to manage workload effectively.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office.
