The Opportunity
Technology plays an important role in supporting how we work across Village Roadshow Theme Parks. We're looking for a Solution Engineer to design, build, deploy and support automation, AI-enabled and digital solutions that enhance business processes, operational efficiency and decision-making.

Working closely with business stakeholders and supported by the Technology Product Manager, you'll manage solutions through their full lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to development, deployment, operational support and continuous improvement. You'll also collaborate with Data, Infrastructure, Business Systems and other Technology teams to deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Delivering practical automation, AI and digital solutions, you’ll be:
• Working with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, gather requirements and identify opportunities for automation, AI and process improvement.
• Designing end-to-end solutions and developing prototypes and proof-of-concepts to validate business needs and solution feasibility.
• Building workflow automations, AI-enabled solutions, applications and system integrations using appropriate technologies and platforms.
• Developing applications, APIs, integrations and supporting backend services across enterprise systems, databases and data platforms.
• Managing testing, deployment and release activities to ensure solutions are transitioned effectively into production.
• Applying DevOps practices including source control, environment management, CI/CD and release management.
• Monitoring solution performance, reliability and availability while troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements.
• Collaborating with Data, Infrastructure, Business Systems and Cyber Security teams to ensure solutions align with organisational standards and requirements.
• Evaluating emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to enhance existing solutions and capabilities.

What We’re Looking For
You enjoy solving business challenges through technology and delivering practical solutions that create value. You’ll bring:
• Experience across automation, application development, systems integration and cloud-based technologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions.
• Experience working with technologies such as Python, Power Platform, APIs, databases and enterprise systems.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices including testing, deployment and DevOps.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to manage competing priorities while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary technology team.
Highly regarded
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Power Platform technologies.
• Experience with agentic AI, RAG and related AI solution frameworks.
• Experience with Docker, cloud deployment technologies or application security practices.
• Experience with Figma, UI/UX design tools or supporting third-party SaaS applications.
• Exposure to agile or product-oriented delivery environments.
